Son of the oncoming show jumping horse supplier Emerald. He is still jumping at the highest level himself, but it will not be long before his offspring surpass him. The products of Emerald are already appearing on the international stage: Igor with Jos Verlooy, Iluna with Ramiro Quintana, Jeunesse van 't Paradijs with Lorenzo de Luca and Sea Coast Kira with Gudrun Patteet.
Emerlaud Z is out of the Contendro I daughter Elaura S, who had a successful sport career herself. Granddam Usaura S produced the Grand Prix show jumper Verdine SZ, ridden by Giulia Martinengo Marquet, and the successful show jumpers Amaai S and Bonheur S. This mare line also produced Forlap, who caused a sensation at the highest level under Gregory Wathelet.
